For Uzbekenergo, a state-owned holding company for power generation, transmission, and distribution in Uzbekistan, we have developed a power business support system as part of its AEM (Advanced Electricity Metering) project. The project is to implement an advanced electricity metering system (AEM) that communicates with smart meters installed on the premises in real time and provides consumers with smart metering services.
NTELS Power Business Support System consists of CRM for processing of smart meter installation orders and consumer contracts, Billing for usage data collection, billing and invoicing, and EDM for power demand and generation forecasts. The integrated dashboard allows operators to view. Its integrated dashboard provides at-a-glance view of the status of customers, work orders and payment while helping operators efficiently respond to customer inquiries with a single point of view. The system collects power usage data and performs real-time billing. It sends a meter disconnection/reconnection message upon customer request while sending an automatic disconnection/reconnection message when account balance reaches the threshold or the unpaid balance is paid.
Our system is now operating in three regions of Uzbekistan (Samarkand, Jizzakh and Bukhara) and will interface with one million smart meters in near future. With support for various interfaces and its modular structure, the system can be adapted to other utility services, including gas, water and sewage.
