NTELS announced today that its N-Datacore has been certified as Smart City data hub by Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) for the first time in Korea.

N-Datacore is an AI-based Smart City data hub platform that provides functions of data collection and management, standard API connection and security.

With its oneM2M-compliant IoT platform as well as NGSI-LD compliant N-Datacore, the company is accelerating efforts to develop and foster AI services for Smart City. NGSI-LD is an API that ensures data interoperability between Smart City systems.

The Smart City data hub collects, stores and manages data from multiple domains, including city infrastructure, private and public sectors to integrate them in terms of urban sustainability while avoiding data silos. By doing this, it can provide cross-domain analytics to AI systems, which can help solve various urban problems.

By being certified by TTA, NTELS has proved its technical prowess in data hub. Currently, the company has completed the implantation of the data hub platform for Daegu Smart City and been undertaking data hub projects for Jeju and Haenam Smart Cities. It also plans to provide other municipal governments and public institutions with the data hub platform.
