For SK Telecom, we have developed a cloud-based digital signage platform that can deliver content to digital signage displays through Android set-top boxes. Besides working as an information medium, NTELS Smart Signage Platform plays a role as a marketing tool so that advertisers can deliver desired digital content to desired devices in various locations, such as stores and billboards.
By utilizing cloud infrastructure, this stable media platform can be deployed with no additional infrastructure required, which makes it easy to expand the service according to its customers’ needs. The authoring tool and content templates made it possible to create content easily and cost-effectively, distribute content files to multiple devices, and monitor content playback according to the schedule.
With intelligence functions, the platform also makes it easier to run smart marketing by interacting with customers based on data collected from motion and optical sensors and providing context-aware content based on customer preferences, weather conditions and sales data from POS.
