Open Standard-based Electric Vehicle Charging Platform for KEPRI
The transportation sector is a major emitter of greenhouse gases and in 2013 accounted for about 23 percent of the world’s CO2 emissions. As a means of alleviating air pollution and building a clean transportation network, using electric vehicles (EV) has been widely proposed. And a growing number of countries are rolling out plans to dramatically accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles and stepping up their policy initiatives to support EV adoption.To promote the use of electric vehicles, the development of a stable power supply system is the key and EV charging infrastructure plays an important role in promoting EVs, including tangible and intangible systems, software applications as well as charging device, charging network management system and charging infrastructure information system.To boost EV adoption in the domestic market, by collaborating with Korea Electric Power Research Institute (KEPRI), we have developed EV charging platform compliant to Open Charge Point Protocol 1.6 (OCPP1.6) and OCPP2.0 (draft version), which is an application protocol for communication between EV charging stations and a central management system. In addition, we have integrated the platform with the charging station operating system used by Korean Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) to provide EV charging service. KEPCO will test-run the integrated system in the third quarter of 2018.Based on successful implementation of EV charging platform with KEPRI and KEPCO, we are aiming at contributing to the development of the energy industry, including developing EV test-beds and services for the domestic market, expanding into overseas markets and promoting new energy businesses.

Rotating Machine Failure Monitoring System
We have developed a rotating machine failure monitoring system that consists of our IoT platform and smart sensors for rotating machine management. The monitoring system collects various status data for rotating machines installed in factories, such as temperature, vibration, magnetic field and current. Based on the data collected, it predicts the status and life of rotating machines using the algorithm developed for the diagnosis of rotating machines, which allows operators to take preventive measures against failure. As the operators can predict when the maintenance of rotating machines should be preformed, they will minimize the downtime of rotating machines and avoid excessive use of electricity caused by fault, and ultimately maximize opportunities for savings in operational costs.Later the system can be expanded to interface with industrial facilities, such as air-conditioners, conveyor belts and pumps that are linked with rotating machines.

IoT Smart Building Platform for Suwon City
For enterprises and local municipalities, we have provided an IoT-enabled smart building energy management platform, which can be deployed in buildings with and without building automation systems (BAS). Using a wide variety of protocols, the platform interfaces with building systems and facilities and collects facility, environment, space and energy data in real time to optimize building operations with AI and ultimately achieve energy performance goals. This highly scalable platform can be deployed for various IoT devices and services.As a cloud platform, it collects facility, environment, space and energy data via standard industrial and IoT data transmission protocols. Based on the data collected, the machine learning engine performs preventive maintenance of facilities, energy demand forecasts and peak power forecasts. The rule engine performs context-aware adaptive control in real time, which helps optimize building operations and save energy. By analyzing energy efficiency by type of building, end-use, and space, it also implements optimal energy management policy to achieve energy performance goals.NTELS Smart Building Platform was deployed in public buildings in Suwon City to provide optimal management building facilities, environment, and energy using the urban 3D map and 3D spatial modeling. IPP (Independent Power Producer) Monitoring System for LSIS
We have developed an integrated monitoring system for IPP (Independent Power Producer), a system package consisting of solar power generation system and ESS (Energy Storage System), developed by LSIS, an electric power solution provider.NTELS IPP Monitoring System collects and standardizes data that occurs during the entire process of power production, from generation, transmission to distribution, to perform remote monitoring, fault diagnosis, performance check and comprehensive maintenance. For efficient management of energy facilities, the system analyzes local weather data and energy production pattern and provides control strategies for the optimal operation of ESS while estimating expected profits from power generation.
