[NEWS] Toplayer is enhancing its IP billing and internet security businesses

Korea Toplayer Networks (CEO, Son Sung-chul), which used to focus its sales efforts on Contents Delivery Network (CDN), has turned its eyes to the internet security and IP billing businesses beginning this year.
Mr, Son says, “There are substantially growing interests in billing solutions and the Internet security for the wireless and wired Internet.” He continues to add, “The company will increase its revenue up to US$ 5 million, 2.5 times that of last year, by focusing more on these businesses”.
The company recently formed a strategic alliance with Korean developers to develop a billing solution based on “App Switch”, its layer 7 switch. nTels(CEO, Shim Jae-hee) was selected for the wireless internet billing while Billtec(CEO, Kim Jong-hwa) was selected to develop billing solutions for the wired networks, and Toplayer will cooperate with both partners in its IP billing business.
Furthermore, Toplayer decided to cooperate with other Korean security solution providers including Penta Security Systems Inc., eSecurity Inc. and SecureSoft Inc. to expand its security solution business. As part of its efforts, it will host seminars and demonstration shows at 5 different local cities in this month. Toplayer, an American based network equipment manufacturer, has developed App Switch, a layer 7 switch which is designed to distribute loads, analyse data and detect the system invasion by screening all data flowing in the network.
