nTels Co., Ltd. (CEO JaeHee Shim) announced on December 3 that it received the “Best of the Best Award” at the 2013 Korea Software Technology Awards, presented by Korea Software Technology Association.
The award is co-hosted by Korea Software Technology Association, Yonsei University IT Research Center, and ETnews since 2001. Its purpose is to discover competitive software companies based on assessments of corporate resources and customer satisfaction and to award them for their contribution to development of the software industry.
After winning the Best Award last year at the prestigious awards, nTels proved its competitive advantages for technology for the second time.
The company was awarded for its open embedded service platform, nTels Integration Service Embedded Platform (hereinafter, N-ISE).
N-ISE is a next generation platform that can remotely monitor and control various devices such as medical equipment (thermometer, blood glucose meter, scale), home appliance (refrigerator, washing machine, TV), and communication device (smartphone, PC). The platform will be pivotal for M2M/IoT, a big growth industry.
With data collection/standardization/transmission and remote device management/security capabilities, N-ISE enables fast time-to-market by flexibly responding to requirements in various business areas, including smart home care, e-healthcare, and smart vehicle care. In addition, it provides SDK for API development and operation/management back-end systems via various channels (PC and mobile).
By being the recipient of the prestigious award, nTels is once again recognized for setting the standards for technical excellence in the M2M/IoT industry. With the rapid expansion of the M2M/IoT market, nTels is expected to play a key role in the next generation of convergence.
