nTels made a contract with SK C&C for providing data charging solution for 4G (LTE) network on June 22.
With increasing use of smart phones and unlimited data plans, many telecommunication companies are facing difficulty in coping with the increased charging traffic. This contract is made to handle 4G (LTE) mobile radio communication network in current market status. The contract contains two sub-contracts; one is $2.7 that ends at Oct. 31, 2011 and the other is $3.7 that ends at Mar. 30, 2012. The scale of the total contract is $6.4M, which amounts to 16.8% of nTels’ annual sales output.
A member of nTels said, “Increase of LTE mobile phones will also result in the increase of data usage. According to the current market trend, the use of LTE phone is expected to increase rapidly in the future. And nTels will have more opportunities in this market condition.”
