nTels made a contract with SK Telecom for providing wireless network policy management system (PCRF) for 4G (LTE) on May 22.

The system manages wireless data traffic and provides policies related to charging to handle the increasing wireless data in 4G (LTE) network efficiently. The total amount of the contract is $1.4M, which takes nearly 3.6% of current sales output. Contract shall last till Jun. 30, 2011.

A member of nTels said, “There will be data traffic explosion as LTE smart phones proliferate. Therefore, it is obvious that many telecommunication companies will face necessity of having advanced systems to handle such issues. This is expected to bring nTels even more and higher sales output.”
