nTels Co., Ltd. (CEO JaeHee Shim) announced on June 24th that nTels received “Minister’s Award” from Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning in the 21st Korea Multimedia Technology Award for its INK Creative.

INK Creative is an integrated electronic publishing solution that consists of INK Builder (authoring tool), INK platform (publication and management), and INK Viewer (appreciation). By using INK Builder, producer is able to create contents that support various multimedia and interactions easily and quickly. The created contents are registered in the platform and published in the form of app book. The user can experience various interactive multimedia contents through the Viewer that is downloaded from the application store.

The interactive multimedia content of INK Creative support not only basic multimedia, but also support zoom in/out/move/rotate functions of the image. And the user is capable of recording his/her own voice and take/insert photo. In the case of using the recording function and playback audio together, it is possible to realize karaoke and language learning functions.

20 engineers went into development for the past two years. INK Creative is developed by 100% pure NTELS programming technology and received the TTA (Telecommunications Technology Association) certification in 2013. In addition, NTELS is applying for patents for two solution technologies.

In the first half of 2014, the INK Creative solution is successfully used for the “Career and Vocational Smart Book” service, which is a textbook of student’s career guidance. This service is carried out by two government organizations, the Ministry of Education and Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education & Training, for the elementary, middle, and high school students. At present, NTELS is working on implementing the INK Creative Cloud service that is targeted for the second half of 2014.
