KTF Goes Content-Centric with New Billing Infra by nTels

nTels, OSS provider headquartered in Seoul, announced today that the company was selected by KTF (www.ktf.co.kr) for its billing infra upgrade project.

KTF is a unit of KT Corporation (formerly known as Korea Telecom) and Korea’s second largest mobile carrier, occupying one third of Korea’s mobile services market. With the majority of subscribers having switched to multi-function handsets, KTF’s strategy now sums up to increasing sales in value-added data and content services.

The billing infra upgrade will leverage KTF’s capability to expand content product lines at best time-to-market. This upgrade includes an integrated voice/data/content charging system and an advanced CP settlement system. According to Jin-Ho Kim, senior consultant at nTels, KTF is expecting the upgraded infra will not only result in increased sales from content services, but also accompany cost reduction of at least 10% in customer contact center operation.

As for the basis of KTF’s decision to choose nTels, Kim explains: “nTels is one of only few developers with necessary experience and expertise in the industry and proven track records in Asia-Pacific market. These factors matter a lot with operators like KTF – in order to catch up with a runner-up ahead in the market, they can’t afford trial-and-errors.”

nTels has been providing its award-winning billing mediation and rating solutions to telecom operators around the globe. The company’s client list includes SK Telecom, PT Telkom, KT, S-Telecom and Helio.
