We developed a mobile medical consultation system that allows medical staff of Seoul National University Hospital to monitor the status of urgent patient on transport and provide paramedics on an ambulance with real-time, remote medical consultation through mobile devices. With the successful implementation of the system, patients with critical conditions, such as cardiac arrest and stroke, can be transported to the hospital and receive emergency treatment as soon as possible without waiting extra time.
