NTELS has developed a big data analytics service that can predict traffic accident risk by collaborating with Korea Road Traffic Authority and Korea University.

Many large cities have seen the problem of traffic accidents and overall congestion and there is an urgent need to institute new measures to combat it. NTELS expects that this new service will help cities make roads safer and give drivers more timely information on surrounding road conditions, for example one that indicates a traffic accident might be on the verge of happening, using cutting edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and big data analytics. It will be expanded nationwide as a total traffic safety service.
